Challenge

The Bank Statement Parser was born out of a need to streamline data processing and reduce manual data entry. Utilizing Python and libraries like tabula and pandas, I developed a custom application that parsed bank statement PDFs and converted the data into a more manageable format. The tricky part was handling various formats of bank statements and ensuring accurate data extraction, which was both challenging and an interesting problem to solve. In hindsight, implementing machine learning for intelligent data extraction could enhance its capabilities.
